Health at a Glance ("the app", "we") is a personal health and fitness tracker. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
Your data is used solely to provide the app — to store your logs and calculate estimates such as BMR, TDEE, and calorie balance. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
When you scan or enter a product barcode, the barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts to look up the product. No personal data is included in that request.
With your explicit permission, the app reads your step count from Apple Health (on iOS) or Health Connect (on Android), so it can show your daily activity and estimate the calories you burn. We only read step data — the app never writes to, changes, or deletes anything in Apple Health or Health Connect.
Steps read this way are stored with the rest of your account data for the sole purpose of displaying your activity inside the app. We do not use health or fitness data for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with third parties. You can revoke access at any time — on iOS in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and on Android in the Health Connect app.
A small number of providers process data on our behalf: FastComet (hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery and DNS), and Resend (sending login codes and invitation emails). They process your data only to provide these services.
We keep your data until you delete your account. You can permanently erase your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have these rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Login is passwordless — we never store a password, only short-lived one-time codes.
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
